Joy Elliott, your Immediate Past-President
Joy Elliott is the Immediate Past-President of Clan Mackay Society USA. She is a native of North Carolina. She has been a Purchasing Manager for 20 years and for the last 14 years has been working for Chemcentral Corporation. Two years ago she was transferred to the Regional office in Atlanta, Georgia.
She has one daughter and three grandchildren, all of whom live in North Carolina. As an avid reader of history she discovered years ago that it is almost impossible to be from North Carolina without having at least one Clan in your background. While discussing this with her maternal grandmother, a McGee (MacKay), she learned that her other ancestors were MacMillans, Macalisters, Wallaces and Buchanans and of course she is an Elliott. After having talked to all of these Clans she knew that she belonged with the Mackays.
Joy has been an active member of Clan Mackay Society since 1998. She has served Clan Mackay in many capacities, from managing Business/Merchandise tables to Games Commissioner. She became National Vice President in 2002 and President in 2003. As the National Vice President she helped other Clan officers to write the Regional Vice Presidents' manual.
Her goals as President have been to help move the Clan forward in whatever ways present themselves.
