Clan Mackay Mid Atlantic Region
Your regional vice-president, Marion Penchansky
.
Marion is a more-than-20- year member of the Clan Mackay
Society, having joined originally at Stone Mountain, Georgia. She is a graduate of The University of Florida, the mother of four and grandmother of five. She is a go-to-person, getting things done
when there’s no one else to do the job.
She took over the Mackay tent at the Richmond, VA Celtic
Games because there was no one else to run it, and agreed to become the
Mid-Atlantic VP of the clan when David Mackay, who did a wonderful job and will
be sorely missed, had to resign.
Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi and raised in Georgia and Florida, she has traveled widely
throughout Great Britain and Europe, and is planning another trip,
this time to Mackay country, in the fall of 2004. She resides in Laurel, Maryland with her husband, Art, and is
the regional director of The HVAC Insider, the largest trade publication in the
nation.
“I am looking forward to meeting all of people in the
Mid-Atlantic region that have been involved in the games in the area. I have
met most of them via e-mail but I hope to visit them in person at the games
this year,” Marion said. “Working on the
games is even more fun than just going to them.
You meet lots of interesting people as well as have the opportunity to
help some of them experience the ‘one of the family’
feeling that comes with membership.”
