This year Saint Andrews Society of Maine sponsored not one, but two, floats in Fourth of July parades.
One was in Bath and highlighted the Maine Highland Games. We were very very lucky to have Frank Ferrel agree to play for us. He is a wonderful fiddler and a true gentleman. Also joining us was one of our scholarship winners, Kiana Estes, who will be studying Cape Breton style fiddling at the Gaelic College in Cape Breton this summer. And, "the Scottish queen" of the float was Shirley MacKay - Maine Commissioner for Clan MacKay.
